Our History

Established in 1947, Crown Supply started as a small supplier of electrical supplies, equipment and appliances serving the Providence, Rhode Island area. In 1984 the original owners sold to the current ownership, the Donahue Family. Our Company President, Bill Donahue, son of a second generation electrician, began his work the electrical distribution industry at Crown Supply in 1984. By 1986 Crown Supply established a sister location in Milford Massachusetts which has moved from it's original location to it's current location. In 2017 we worked with Webster Electrical Supply in Webster, Ma and opened a third Crown Supply branch at thier location in Webster, MA. 

Still owned and operated by Bill Donahue, the company’s facilities, customer base and product/service offering has grown dramatically. Crown is proud to have become a valued trading partner to customers of all types all over New England. We are specifically proud of the ties we have grown with the electrical contractor and tradesman base which is where our family roots are.

At Crown Supply we are more than a traditional distributor. We are always looking to expand our product and services offering to create opportunity for our customers, manufacturer partners and most importantly growth opportunities for our employees. We currently offer a creative package of services, not just hardware, including electrical, lighting system and fire alarm / safety system design, programming and technical support. These services are designed to enhance our customers' capabilities as well as profitability and allow them to take full advantage of all products at their disposal. We understand that our customers have ever changing demands placed on them and there are fewer individuals entering the trades so we are constantly looking for ways to help.
